The Subject Visual Art is a compulsory subject during the first two years. In the last three years it is an elective. It is possible to select Visual Arts as an exam subject.

Why is Visual Art important?
The Arts are unique forms of knowledge and expression which nurture a range of intelligences and allow students to give creative and critical expression to their deepest thoughts and insights about themselves and the world. Their artistic experiences will provide opportunities for growth in effective communication, imaginative problem solving, harmonious collaboration and independent risk taking.
The arts are the voice and memory of all communities and societies and provide students a means for understanding the contributions that different civilizations have made to our common heritage.
During the first two years, students will be introduced to the elements of art and the principles of design, using a variety of 2- and 3-Dimensional media, as well as different techniques. During the last three years of the course, students are able to critic works using art language, student know how to use elements of art and principles of design to communicate a message a feeling or an esthetic work. Students are able to do independent research for assignments. Students create portfolio pieces.
